This type of challenge is becoming more and more popular these days. For some it is a way to learn about photography. For some it is a way to improve their photography skills. And for some it's just something different and fun.

For me it is a combination of those things.

The idea is this: you have a list of 100 words ( themes) to interpret any way you please through photography. There are a couple rules to follow for the challenge.

1. You MUST use your own photos for the challenge.

2. If your subject is another person, please ask for their permission to take and use the photo; explain to them why you want to take their photo and how it will be used. You may want to have them sign a Model Release though this may not be necessary, it is however encouraged if possible. *

3. Your photos can NOT be digitally manipulated. Minor manipulations to correct lighting and contrast etc. may be made but please keep it minimal! If you wish you may watermark your photos or add text with your copyright, however no other text should be added.

* Candid shots MAY be an exception. Please use your own judgment in deciding whether or not you need to approach your subject. Professional photographers hold very high moral and ethical standards for themselves and other photographers. If you are unsure - ask if it is at all possible to do so. If you are unable to approach your subject and have any doubts whatsoever about whether or not you should take and/or use the photo, chances are you probably shouldn't take/use it. Ask yourself "How would I feel if I were the subject of the photo?" - if you would not want to be the subject of such a photo then please do not take or use the photo.

Please take a new photo specifically for each theme of the challenge. If you MUST use an old photo for a couple of the themes that is ok, but the whole point is to challenge yourself to take a new photo for each theme. Using old photos you've already taken defeats the purpose of the challenge.
